Ok I Just Had To Do It :) And I Am Excited

Hi there,

SOMEONE, I know mentioned Christmas in her post yesterday or the day before.  :)You know who you are. LOL

It was ok though. Today we were roasting at either 84 or 94 degrees depending on what part of town we were in. Oh my goodness! Whew!

Anything that will make me feel cooler is appreciated. Thanks Diana.  :)

Wait! Is that snow falling?? LOL

I just can't believe that 2012 is half over already.  181 days til Christmas. Just in case you were wondering. :)

I am excited. Today I figured out how to make a blog button with a grab box for my business blog. It isn't perfect. It is just my first try at it. Took me all night. If you'd like to check it out and maybe even grab it CLICK HERE

Well this is short cause I gotta go to bed. I hope all  of you have a wonderful day.

Take care all :)

Trip To Logan And I Need Your Advice

Hi everyone,

Well, I knew it was going to be almost a week before I posted again. I did read your blogs. But I wasn't able to do a lot of commenting, sorry.
I love to read your blogs and hear about what you all are up to. :)

A couple weeks ago my hubby, Princess Downy and I went to visit some friends in Logan, Utah. It is about 2 1/2 hours away.  We saw a few antelope...

and lots of chipmunks...

They would scurry across the road so fast. Even ones smaller than this one.  At one point I thought that we had seen so many that I thought of calling that area Chipmunk Alley. LOL

The best part of the drive was getting into and driving down Logan Canyon. First we passed through a little area around Bear Lake which in on the border of Utah and Idaho. It is a nice little area Lake Town and Garden City I think the little towns there are called. Cute little shop and places to eat. They also have a yearly Raspberry Festival.

Below are some pictures of the Canyon...

Sometimes there is snow in the mountains year round.  Below is a lodge in Logan canyon. I think it is called Beaver Creek Lodge. When the weather is nice they have horse back riding and 4 wheeling. In the winter, as you can see, they have snowmobiles  available to use.

It is a lovely drive. The only thing that bothered me about it was, there were many  hairpin turns that made me a little sore and dizzy. LOL

Now for the advice...I am wondering if those of you who sell your crafts online in your blogs and elsewhere, if you would have any advice on the best way to sell. Or how to make it a steady income. Do you all use PayPal for your transactions? And when you see how much an item costs you to make, how much more do you sell it for? Also what do you think of Etsy, and Pinterest? (did I spell that right)?

Ok now I need to catch up with your posts from yesterday and today. :) Love it. And then run and get the housework done. DON"T love it. LOL

It is very not here. About 83 degrees.  Yuckie.  Thank goodness there is a good breeze though. :)

Have a FUNderful weekend everyone.  Take care...

Hi Did Ya Miss Me? And Playing Catch Up Again

Hi everyone,
I think it has been about a week since my last post. My goodness how time flies...Wasn't having too much fun though.  Well I have about a weeks worth of blog reading and commenting to catch up with, maybe more.  :) I love reading your blogs.
I know that I said my next post would be about our trip to Logan, Utah. I don't have time to do that now. :(  It is late and I have been trying to get to bed early. lol  I think I am sounding like a broken record with that statement. LOL
I will try to get our trip in my next post which, I hope will NOT be another week away. :) Our weather has been kinda hot the last few days.  Even the winds don't cool it enough.  We are planning to move to a place in Logan that has AC. Yayyyy!
Just one neat picture.
Have a great day everyone.  Take care.

Thank You Donna And Look What I Did..Woohoo!! :)

Hi everyone,

I have found two great blogs. Have you ever wondered how to make a header/banner of photos across the top of your blog? Or how to center blog buttons on your sidebar, put a button in a post like the one below or make snow fall on your blog?

Thanks to Donna at G G's Creative Corner , I have learned how to do those things. :) YAYYYYY  Thank you Donna.

Easy Blog Tips!

In a recent post Donna introduced Jill of Sneaky Momma Blog Design. To check out her blog click on the button above. Jill has tutorials on how to do lots of different things to make your blog look great with easy step by step instructions and pictures. Also Jill referred to  a blog called Clover Lane .  This site has great tutorials as well.  Oh and recipes too if you are interested. :)

If you go to check them out let them I sent you, ok?

I made the header at the top of this blog. I like it. It is pictures of Logan Canyon in Utah.  We went there on Wednesday.  I didn't take these pictures on the trip though.

To see the centered images/buttons, falling snow and a better looking header check out my other blog at Bear Country Primitives.  The clickable buttons on the sidebar were not centered before. One was to the left the next to the right etc.

Well, I should go. I will write about our trip to Logan next time. :)

Have a great evening and a wonderful Tuesday.

Take care

What Is Your Favorite Scripture?

Hi everyone,

I hope all of you have had a great weekend.

Today in our lady's meeting at church we talked about the importance of the scriptures in our lives.  For part of the lesson our teacher asked us to write our favorite scripture reference on a piece of paper and turn it in. Then she would read our reference and we could read the verse aloud and tell why we liked it. Or how it helped us in our lives.

As we were going through them I was hoping that time would run out before she got to mine. lol  I wasn't sure what I would say. :)

As my luck would have it, she read my references last. Just before time ran out.  Mine were:

And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

John 17:3

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

John 5:39

I said that I liked the first verse because of how important it was to really KNOW the only true God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent. How can we worship and pray to someone/something we don't know? We should know who They are and what They are. There are so many different opinions in the world. Which one is right and how will we know it?

Then about the second verse I said..it is through the reading of the scriptures that we find the answer to this question of just who is God. Reading and studying the scriptures with open minds and hearts will bring the witness of the Holy Spirit to our spirit. The Spirit and the scriptures both testify of Them.

Notice the underlined words...the two verses are connected. Studying with the spirit will give us the answer. We will feel it in our hearts when we have found the answer.  :)

Also I have found that my days are always better when I read the scriptures. It's a great feeling. :)

What is your favorite scripture and why? (seems like I have talked about this before).

Have a great week.

Take care....

Short And Sweets :)

Howdy all,

We had a wild micro burst dust storm come through here this afternoon. It 'shook, rattled and rolled' the house. I ran to the front door cause my hubby was out on the deck in his (well it used to be mine) rocking chair relaxing. I opened the door and looked out and it was wild. Hubby was already trying to rub dust or something out of his eyes. I kept hollering hurry, hurry get in here. He wanted me to get the chair in first. I thought he was nuts. I yelled "MOVE" LOL  Heck with the rocking chair. So he came in and I got the chair  and shut the door. My goodness it was dusty and windy.

That was the big excitement for the day. :)

Now for the sweet part:

Oh, if you didn't get a chance to see my last post scroll down and check it out, k?  Great video. :)

Have a FUNderful Tuesday. :)  ( like my new word?)

Take care

The Merciful Obtain Mercy

Good morning everyone,

Last April I heard a talk given by Dieter F Uchtdorf, of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  I was thinking about it a few minutes ago and decided to find it online and listen to it again.

It is a great talk about being the kind of people that Heavenly Father wants us to be. Kind, merciful, loving, forgiving.  It is just over 16 minutes long. A few words may be unfamiliar to some. This is a wonderful  message right out of the New Testament. Please enjoy the talk and the rest of your Sunday. :)
Take care

HAPPY JUNE! OH MY THAT MEANS IT'S SUMMER

Wow! I can't believe it!  June already. Last day of school tomorrow. Graduation. Oh dear I just got a picture of my senior pic for the yearbook in my head. Scary. lol

Tonight I have been working on my family tree.  I love family history research. I use the ancestry.com site and the LDS site new.familysearch.org.  Both really great sites with lots of records and information on them.   Today I found a lot of grave sites and  pictures of headstones for my mom's grandparents and uncles and aunts. This type of info can be found on a site called www.findagrave.com

I think that is all for now.

Have a wonderful Friday.

Take care.....
