WOOHOO !! ALMOST SUPERBOWL TIME

Well, it's almost here!

 

Seemed like EVERYONE was wearing Seattle Seahawks clothes today. 

 

Sunday evening around 6pm Pacific time will be the kick off. They will be playing the New England Partiots.

 

It would be great to see Seattle win again this year.

THIRTY YEARS OLD?

Howdy all,

 

Well...in just a few hours on Wednesday the 21st I will have been a mom for thirty years. This is my baby....

 

 

Is that a cute baby or what? This was Robbie's first professional photo shoot at 3 months old. :) Current pictures I have but..not on my computer. And not where I can easily find them to put them on my computer.

 

Now he is just over 6 feet tall. In the National Guard and has been to Iraq and back. I just found out that he has some property now where he raises chickens, goats and bees. He gives the eggs and whatever to the needy. I thought what a neat thing to do. Mamma's proud of her baby. :)

Hello everyone,

Well, we have had a busy day. Mel decided last night that he couldn't sleep so he was up all night. I didn't get much sleep either as a result. And we have been quite cranky all day. I knew this would happen.

We started getting ready to leave this morning at 6:30am. And didn't get home til about 3pm. The operation went well. And recovery didn't take too long. Since we've been home all he's wanted to do was go zooming about in his power chair. So he is now downstairs hoping to visit with neighbors. I wanted him to stay here and relax but he says 'I know what I'm doing. I'll be fine.' He might, as long as he stays in the chair. Getting up and walking anywhere is another story.

He was walking sideways from the car to the apt building. MEN! I guess they just need to learn things the hard way. He was told to have a quiet relaxing rest of the day. Anyway, I will keep an eye on him as best as I can. 

I think this means I can't visit mom tonight like planned. She is not going to be very happy. Last time I visited her was on Friday. I told her I would be coming again on Monday. She called me all weekend having anxiety. She gets scared alot. And can't get herself out of it.  I can't go running over there every time. :(

Anyway, that's the update. Hopefully my next post will be more on the lighter side of life. Maybe I will mention Princess Downy's new game. Mamma is not amused. lol

Also if you didn't see the addition to my last post, or the PS..The Packers did win and they will  be playing the Seahawks in Seattle next week.  Too bad we can't go down and watch it in person.

I have been thinking about doing something different with my blog. Not sure what. Any ideas??

I hope you are all staying warm. I know some of you have had big snow storms in the past few weeks. I am sooooooo jealous. I miss the winters of  Utah and Wyoming so bad. :(

Ok, I need to stop whining. lol

Hubby has surgery in the morning. He is getting a fistula done. That is a procedure where a vain and an artery in the upper arm are opened and connected  to each other. This location will then be used for being connected to the dialysis machine. Instead of using the tunnel catheter that is in his chest. 

So we will be quite busy tomorrow. With that and recovering the rest of the day. Just found this funny pic on Google.    

LOL We have been giving this a bit of thought while deciding in which arm to place the fistula. Sometimes the strength in the arm can lessen.

The surgeon has done lots of these procedures. So I don't have to be concerned. But I am anyway of course.

Hello all,

Well, tonight is the Seattle Seahawks game. They are playing the Panthers. Seahawks are first in the conference standings and Panthers are fourth.

Tomorrow, while I am at  church, :( The Greenbay Packers in second place, will be playing the Dallas Cowboys who are in third place. By the time I get home from church the game will be over.

My hubby is a Packers fan from wayyyyyyyyy back.  We are living in Seattle..Seahawks  country. Where I was born and raised. I was thinking wouldn't it be fun to have both teams win this weekend and play each other next week for the conference championship.  The winner of that game would play in the Superbowl on February 1st for the NFC against the winner of the AFC division playoff game.

Well, we shall see...Diana? I hope you all are ready for tomorrows game. :) Who would you like to play in the next game or in the Superbowl?
