Hi everyone, I do hope you are having a great Monday.
I need your help . My sister, who is a very sensitive soul, has just been told that her best and only friend in the whole world is dying. :( It is hurting my heart right now to tell you. Julie has a friend, Kathleen who has been so sweet to her for 15 years or so. Julie found out that at Christmastime Kathleen was traveling to see her children for Christmas when she got in an accident. It was so bad that she was put on life support. Yesterday they 'pulled the plug'. I hate that phrase. Family took her home, that is where she wanted to be. So she is dying.
It was an awful shock to my sister. They were so very close. Like sisters. I know that it is awful news for anyone to get. But Julie, she called me awhile ago in tears and even though it was hard for me to hear what all had happened. I could hear her heart breaking.............It hurt me so bad. I am 1,000 miles away. I can't go to her. Stopping to dry my face and blow my nose. Ok, gosh, this is so hard. I met this sweet lady. She is like an angel.
Julie has had a crummy life, she has been epileptic since she was 5 back in 1960 or so and in and out of state hospitals and homes and all. She has had a hard time mentally and emotionally all her life. People have done bad things to her. And she has had to deal with Parkinson's now for the past 20 years. But she has been tough and won't let it get her. She is so inspiring. I am very proud of her.
It has been hard for her to have friends that understand her. Kathleen was the best friend to her. She loved Julie and was so sweet to her. And Julie loved her back. She feels so alone. Little Julie alone on a great big planet with no one. :( I know that she is not alone. But I have had that feeling so I know what she is going through. She said that she doesn't know what she will do. She just feels so lost. :(
I don't think that she has ever prayed til she and I did each night when I was there a year ago. And I don't know if she has prayed since. I told her that Jesus understands and knows how she feels. He has felt it too. More than we can imagine. He knows how to make her feel better. I told her I will pray hard for her to feel better and to be able to accept and find peace with whatever happens. Please pray with me. Julie and Kathleen's family need it. Maybe you can put her name on your church prayer chain or prayer circle list too. Thank you. Take care.
