Snow Is Coming! WOOHOO! And Two Wild Rides

Well, as the title says, snow is on it's way.  I listened to the local forecast online.  The weather guy in his white 'snow coat' said that the mountains should get 8-10 inches tomorrow. I hope it comes and IS that much. We are in the mountains, kind of and really need it. Also there are about 4 or 5 storms lined up to hit us this week. I love the snow, the more the merrier, but I always pray that no one gets hurt on the roads.

Thank you to whoever woke up Ol' Man Winter. :)

Reading a friends blog earlier reminded me of something that happen to my husband and I about 10 years ago....

We were living in Logan, Utah in December of 2001.  We just had been married a few weeks and were going to go to the town of Morgan, Utah to see his niece get baptized.  It had snowed bad and the canyon, Sardine Canyon, which is notorious for causing accidents in the winter was the road we had to travel.  We were just tooling along in our jeep, which by the way we had only had for a couple weeks as a replacement for the little truck that got totaled with my husband in it a week after we were married. Everyone said it was a miracle that he wasn't totaled too.

Anyway, we were going a long the canyon road, two lanes each direction and a cement median in the middle, when all of a sudden we started sliding on the ice going around a curve. My husband was doing his best to turn the steering wheel this way and that to follow the direction the back end of the car was going. It was very dizzying. This lasted maybe just over 30 seconds which isn't an awful long time, but it is when you are spinning on the ice...finally it was over and we and the car were still in one  piece. Whew! I jokingly said something like 'that was fun, let's do it again'...well.....a few minutes later we DID do it again. It wasn't funny that time. Luckily we made it through again unscathed.  And I kept my mouth shut. :)

The people behind us both times were able to stop and stay back out of the way and we didn't crash into anyone or the median or into the hills on the roadside.  The rest of the trip was uneventful.

The baptism service was wonderful and the rest of the day was lovely.

I feel the Lord wanted us to be around for a while longer. He has things for us to do. :)

Will keep you updated on the weather. Because if the weather keeps up and the storms are strong you may get them next.  Only those of you who want them, of course. :)

Stay safe. Have a great Wednesday. Take care

Ol' Man Winter, Silliest post And Welcome

Howdy all,

I am kinda mixed up. Now my hubby would probably say ' Kinda'? Well, the problem is and many of you may be having the same problem..winter has not really arrived here yet.  From October 6th when we first got some snow til now, we may have gotten only a little over 24 inches total, maybe. Most of which has melted away

Now that is very strange for this part of the country. We are in western Wyoming. We are supposed to get SNOW not snow. We are at almost 7000 feet in elevation.  We need the snow to fill up the reservoirs. We need it so the rivers and creeks won't dry up in the summer.
I think old man winter is gettin too old. He has fallen asleep on the job. Someone please wake the ol guy up. lol

I know that some of you are not snow people and that is ok.  I will forgive you. :)  I am glad that you are enjoying the spring-ish weather. We have had those days here too. It is nice but...not normal. LOL  All the 'snow dances' that the children are doing across the country are not working. What are we to do? :)

Anyway, that is all for my silliest post of the year. I get flakey at this time of the morning.  LOL

Welcome to my newest followers, one from the USA, I think. And one from Italy. :)

Gotta go, it is a crazy hour in the morning again. Shame on me.  Have a great Tuesday. Take care

I Have A Question

Hi there,

Again it is late. It is 2:48 am. I have had to wait 2 hours to check hubby's blood sugar. It was too high a while ago. Now it is ok, but can easily get too low.  I am also waiting for Princess Downy.  She was sneaky earlier and ate when she shouldn't have so she will need to go out again.  I forgot to put her dishes up. Oh well :)

A friend of mine showed me a neat site where I can make a signature for my posts and lots of other neat things.  I have a question..does anyone know how I can use something I make as my blog title? I made the title for my business blog with a neat font and I'd like to put it on there but I can't figure it out.  The other blog has been created with a title. Just wanted to see if I can change it. I have checked the help page and can't seem to word the question in the right way so that the right answers come up.

Let me know if you know a way I can do that, ok? :) Also below the 3rd post down I added my signature just to see how it looks..I'd like to find something with colors to match my background and text better.    This is what I want my title to look like on my other blog.It may not show up good on this color background

I should go. Have a great Monday. Take care  :)

Saturday House Cleaning, Exhausted, A Chocolate Attack and Thank You

Oh my goodness. Today was very tiring. I had less time to clean house than usual because our schedule is all out of wack.  We are awake too late and then get up too late. :(  At midnight I was just finishing up in the kitchen. Also decided to have a nervous breakdown along the way. Oh.....things just have to get better. I am exhausted but not to the point of wanting to go to bed. Like I just need to unwind first. But I will have to soon. It is almost 2:20 am.

Oh, and I am kinda sorta, starting to have a chocolate attack. And I can't do anything about it. Poor me. LOL  We have chocolate cake mix but no eggs. Oh dear.

I was having a hard time thinking of what to write here. I think I want to write here every day. Ya know why?  Because each morning the first thing I do even before getting out of bed is get the internet on my cell phone and check my email that is attached to here to see if anyone has left me a sweet comment. And you always do.  What a lovely way to start the day. :)

So am sooooooooooooooo glad that I started this blog. I have had so much fun and met so many sweet people here.  I know I am repeating myself but it is true.  You are all so sweet to me and to each other.  You care about each other.  I feel  like I have another family on here.  Thank you for welcoming me to your world. :)

I gotta run..Have a great Sunday. Take care ((BIG HUGS)) to you all.

Where Would YOU Rather Be?

Well, here I am again in the wee hours of the morning.  It is 3:10 am.  My computer has been giving me a hard time lately. More so than it usually does. My antivirus program wasn't doing its job either.  So I un-install it and re-installed it and it updated.  Now it is doing a scan, so I decided to stay up til it is done. I don't like to leave the computer on during the night when I am sleeping.

Today I have been thinking, I'd rather be somewhere else. LOL  So much has been going on here with my husband, and in Washington state with my mom and sister. I am exhausted.  I need a vacation.  Since I really can't have a vacation, a real 'getaway' one I guess it will have to be all in my mind :)

I'd like to be in the mountains.  In the mountains where we used to live in northern Utah.  It was lovely there. I could have a nice little log home. With a fireplace and big windows to look out and see the critters,  and the trees that are covered with snow. I'd like to just spend the whole time looking out and watching the snow fall. Sigh.....

Oh I forgot the hot chocolate and a good book... maybe even THE GOOD BOOK :)  Last night I think it was I started my third book of the year. This is my 2nd reading of it. It is called The Inevitable  Apostasy by Tad Callister.  It talks about the new testament church, and how and when the apostasy, the 'falling away'  that was prophesied in the bible (2 Thess.2:3 ) occurred.  And also about the 'restitution of all things' that is also prophesied in the bible (Acts 3:21). It is very interesting. It is also about 2 inches thick. I think it will take me a while to read. :)

Where would YOU rather be? :)  And if any of you have read on these topics I'd like to hear your thoughts on it. :)

Well, I should go. I hope you all have a great Friday.  I appreciate all your kind comments. Take care

Thank You, Sister's Friend Update

Hi all,

Just want to thank  all of you who have commented on my last post and are praying for my sister and her friend.  I called today and found out from a friend of both my sister and her friend  that  Katherine is doing better. Because of my sister's troubles she doesn't say the right names sometimes. And I have found out that she has also got some of the facts mixed up. Poor thing.  Her friend is quite bad off, but I am told that she is expected to recover. And that is such great news.  It will be a long recovery. She has trauma to the head. She is a very sweet person. Prayers are working :)

Welcome to new followers.

I have to go now. We have a doctor's appt in the morning for Mel.
Take care all. Have a great Wednesday.  (((HUGS)))
