Today I had to have our dear little Princess Downy put to sleep. :(
She had been getting more problems this past week. For a while now we had been giving her meds for her heart because of an infection she had. A few weeks ago she started getting so thirsty she emptied her water dish before the end of the day. And I would have to take her out more often. When she started to get forgetful and confused. Not knowing what to do or where to go.
Then yesterday and today she worsened. She was very clingy. She wanted to be near me all the time. And she couldn't be comfortable in any position when she laid down. I think she knew something was wrong. Also past few days she would cough or gag or something for a while and then be fine. But that is not a good thing. She always shivering, even when it wasn't cold. Dr said with all that and more there was nothing he could do for her.
R.I.P Sweet baby.
Oh, Janet I'm so sorry, losing a much loved pet is so very hard. Big hugs! When I lost my 3 sweeties, I cried every day for I don't know how long! Eventually it eases.
ReplyDeleteI found it helpful to think of each one being cared for by Jesus, and happy and pain free.
I liked hearing about your little Princess's cute antics in the past, she was one adored little doggy, that's for sure.
saying acprayer for you and her right now.

ReplyDeleteAre you in Shelbyville? I saw your weather thingy on the side bar. I am in Oakland.
I am so sorry. They sure do leave paw prints on our hearts. Run fast and free, Princess Downy.
