Happy Spring Morning

Good Monday morning everyone,

Isn't that  pic cute? I love it.

Well, it is 4:36am, I have been up most of the night in a religion chat room on the internet. I was visiting with friends and meeting new people who came to ask about the Lord and what we believe. It was great.  We talk to people from every denomination and from all over the world. I like learning about what all churches believe, and telling people what I believe. :)

Today I have to call and reschedule a Dr. appointment because I will have to be out of town on that day. Actually out of state. I will be going to Logan, Utah. We are moving back there and we are going to stay with some friends for a few days and look around for a house or apartment. And I will check on a possible job. This will be next week.

We will need to be working on packing the house from now til when we move in June or July. My goodness it is going to be a big job. LOL

I am still working on reading all your blogs. :) I want to read them all and comment so I will be visiting you soon.

Gotta go.  Have a wonderfully blessed day. Take care....

Sunday--Love One Another

Good Sunday morning to you all,

I was thinking about what to write today. Something spiritual since it is Sunday.  And while talking to a friend this evening I thought of this: Love One Another.

I found some bible verses that speak of this....

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
John 13:34-35

This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
John 15:12

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another..
Romans 12:10

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
Romans 13:8

But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.
1Thessalonians 4:9

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works
Hebrews 10:24

Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently
1 Peter 1:22

Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren,
1 Peter 3:8

For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
1 John 3:11

And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
1 John 3:23

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God
1 John 4:7

Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
1 John 4:11

And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
2 John 1:5

Wow! There are a lot aren't there?  Even more than these. If we are told at least this many times to love one another, it must be important and something that we need to work on all the time, yes?

Ok, that is our Sunday School lesson for today. Memorize these verses. There will be a quiz on Monday. :)

I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday. Take care....

Playing Catch Up Again

Hi there,

My goodness, I am so slow. lol  I am trying to catch up with my blog reading and comments. I can't believe how behind I am.

We had our "snow" today, Friday.  First we had WIND, then rain, then sleet. THAT was our snow. The sleet. It came in from every direction. It was wild. It was there two minutes then gone. It did this off and on through out the afternoon and evening.  And of course I thought for sure the WIND would make the pilot light in the furnace go out. But it didn't. YAYYY

We are both feeling a little better today. YAYYY again. :)

Saturday is house cleaning day.  Don't want to have to look at a messy house on Sunday. I have gotten some things done already so that I won't have much to do.

Guess I should go to bed so that I can get up and get everything done. Have a wonderful weekend.

Take care...

Rain, Thunder, Lightning And Deer

Good morning everyone,

Isn't this little one cute?  This is a little white tailed fawn. Today, well now yesterday, we had rain, thunder and lightning.  I looked out the kitchen window in time to see a few of these deer, older ones, in the field across the road. They huddled together like they weren't sure what to do, like they were scared of the thunder and lightning.  Then one by one they took off towards the trees at the far side of the field. I miss seeing deer all the time, like we had in the mountains.

Another white tailed deer still not as old as the ones I saw. We used to have them in our yard all the time. And when we drove around the area they were everywhere.

We are supposed to get snow tomorrow, Friday.  Not sure if it is going to happen. If we get any it may not stick.

Welcome to my new followers. I will be looking forward to getting to know you and hearing from you.  Thank you all for your caring and kind comments. :)

Have a wonderful day. Take care....

Uh Oh! I Blew It :(

Howdy,

Well, I just wasn't thinking.  I was at the cable company paying the bill.  My mouth was really dry and I didn't have my water bottle. On the way out I saw their candy basket. I like to get some candy when it is around. So I got a few  pieces and put them in my purse and went to the car.

Before I drove off I put a piece of it in my mouth, a ways on down the road I realized what I had done.  I had a tiny size tootsie roll in my mouth.  CHOCOLATE!  :(  Oh well....  It tasted great :) So I had another little one on my way to my next stop. :) The others are still in my purse. I don't think I will be in trouble.

Sorry to those of you who had faith in me that I could make it a few more days.  Making it this long without chocolate is still quite a big accomplishment for me. I am kinda proud of me. Thank you all for your encouraging words. :)

Not much else going on here. The weather was nice, just a little windy. Supposed to rain tomorrow I think.

Take care everyone...

Awwww....

Oops! Did I Do That?? LOL

Oops! Did I do that?  :)  Sorry, couldn't think of something to right about.  Then I thought of how I have about one week to go til I can eat chocolate again. I have been a good girl for the  past 3 weeks or so.  Now I think I am starting to get anxious. And doesn't this cake just make you drool? LOL

For those of you who don't know,  my doctor asked me to not have spicy food, alcohol or caffeine. Ok, I don't like spicy, don't drink, and don't drink coffee, so those things are not a problem. But chocolate has caffeine so I have to stop eating it too for 4 weeks.  Doctor is trying to figure out what is causing my chest pains. Soooooo......

I will just sit here and drool for a while. Yucky that sounds gross, huh? Don't mean it to. :) That cake just looks soo gooooood. Sigh....

Have a great day everyone.

50 Followers Woohoo!! And The "Potty " Stretch :)

Howdy everyone,

YAYYYYY! 50 followers!  Welcome to the newest ones.  And to all I appreciate your kind and caring comments. I feel that I have instant friends here. I love you gals.

Now, I suppose you are wondering just what is this "potty" stretch thing? Well,  Princess Downy is the creator of the potty stretch.  When she wants something she will come out to me. I will say 'you gotta go potty?'  And if she does she will stretch forward on her front legs. Well, lately she has been playing games to make mamma look stupid. She will do the stretch, I will get up go across the room and open the door, and she will just sit or stand there and stare at me. Like "GOTCHA"    LOL

Oh and mamma has become Princess Downy's personal elevator.  She will go across the deck to the stairs then go back and forth on the top step looking like she is scared to go down.  So, in rain, shine, snow, winds or whatever I end up  going in my bare feet across the deck picking her up and taking her down the three stairs and going back to the doorway. So that is up and down the stairs once. Remember my poor pained body. :)  Then she finally comes back to the stairs, I say "up  up", she knows what that means.  She will just stand there, like where is my elevator ride?  So I go down the stairs again, pick her up, put her on the top step and then come up the steps.  WHEW!  This is not a fun thing to do every time.

I guess though, that she is doing it because she is afraid to fall from catching a nail on the step.  Her nails are a bit long.  And another reason her bangs are getting in her face.  Seems like we just went to get her groomed.  Guess I gotta an appointment to schedule for this week. Lol

This isn't Downy, but this is what she looks like. :)

Well, we got our lawn mowed today. Love the smell of freshly mowed grass.  Funny though, with the windows open the smell didn't last long.  I love dandelion  fuzzys.

Also today I got the air conditioner put into the window.  Now I won't have to roast when it is hot. It was supposed to be 80 degrees today but it didn't make it.  That was ok with me. :)

Well, gotta run. Thank you for stopping by. I'd love to hear from you.

Take care  (((((BIG HUGS)))))

Heat Wave Oh Dear

We're having a heat wave, a tropical heat wave......

Ok pretend this is me......this is how I have been feeling all day. On top of the crummy-ness from yesterday. :(  Yuckie
Well, to explain a little about how crummy we've been feeling this weekend....hubby as had a bad time with his back. Every move he's made in the last few days  causes him to moan in pain. :(  He is better today though. YAYYYY.

Then me...I have been a couple weeks without arthritis pills and a week without fibromyalgia pills. So  I have had a lot of pain from head to toe 24/7for the past couple of days (bone and nerve pain). Doctor said no more of the former and I ran out of the latter. Til we were able to get some today.  Also I have been kind of  weak and I bet dehydrated. :( I think I am doing a little better now. YAYYYY me.

And the bad timing of the heat isn't helping. lol  I don't need it to be hot outside which makes it hotter inside, when I can make my own heat wave (if you know what I mean).  And it was only in the mid 70s as far as I know.  They say tomorrow it will be 80.  Yikes!  I think I will go to a restaurant and live in their walk-in freezer for the day. LOL

I like this  picture better....
Ahhhhhh.......coolness :)

Chocolate, Just One More Week..Mmmmmm

Howdy,
I know, I know. You are saying ' Not another chocolate post'  It isn't. :) It is an update only.  One week left and then I will be pigging out. LOL  Ok, that's all about that. :)
Not much going on around here this weekend. Both hubby and I have been a bit under the weather.  Not sure what caused it. And of course, I still had to get my Saturday housework done. Wasn't crazy about that idea but I finished what I had to do. It took a while but I did it.
We didn't get to smell the freshly mowed grass. :(
I will probably miss church. I hate when that happens. I miss feeling the spirit that is there. I will be able to watch some uplifting programs though. Scripture discussions programs and devotionals are what I like to watch the most. I learn so much. :)

Thank you so much for your kind comments. I do read every one of them.  I pray you will have a wonderful Sunday.

Take care....

Sleep?? Whats That?? LOL

Ok , this is nuts. LOL

It is almost 4am again.  Last night, 24 hours ago I was still up. Then I went to bed and my husband got up because he couldn't sleep. So I stayed awake til about 7am then fell asleep for a few hours.

Tonight or this morning, pardon me, :) I am getting ready, sorta, to go to bed and now my hubby is awake and out here again. My goodness.

Ok, one totally unrelated question then I will go.

I have another blog that I added pages to. Did I ask this last time? Can't remember.  I am trying to figure out how to post separate posts with comment space on these additional pages. Right now it just looks like all I can do is post then click edit that post and add another one to it. So one or more in the same post with just the one comment space. Does that make sense? Anyway, if it does and you know the answer please let me know, k? Thank you. :)

Now back to original topic.  How fair is this? ( See below)

Awww, see how peacefully asleep they are? Maybe I need to get a pacifier. :)

Or this one....

Even Garfield is sleeping all comfy cozy.  Maybe I need a pacifier AND a big fluffy pillow. :)

Anyway, gotta run. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Take care.....

Blogs Blogs And More Blogs

Howdy,

Well, today I spent hours working on my other blogs. I have one that has extra pages. I moved info I had on a similar type of blog on another site over to this new one. I added videos, and photos.  And did other things that took forever. Yesterday or the day before I was changing templates so I could do all this.

I also found neat backgrounds for all of them. :) The 'Background- Changer' strikes again. LOL

And I was working on washing dishes, making dinner, making phone calls during it all too. Whew! Makes me tired just writing about it. LOL

Ouch! I have been sitting too long. :)

I am still getting caught up on reading your blogs too. :)

Have a great day everyone.

Take care. ((HUGS))

Oops! How did that get there?? LOL

Yayyyyy I Did It And Playing Catch Up :)

Howdy,
I hope you all have had a great day. :)

Well I figured out the template problem. Yayyy me. lol

And I am so behind in reading all your blogs and commenting. :(  I will try to get caught up in the next day or two. Ok? :)

The weather here has been nice. The lawn may get mowed Saturday for the first time. If if is doesn't, Princess Downy may get lost in it. lol  Nawww, it's not that tall yet.  She may just get her belly tickled though. :)

Only sign of spring is still just the green-ness of our lawn. lol  Maybe I need to get out and about more and find flowers.  Oh and the birds are out. :) And the flies and spiders. Ick!  I guess there is more than just the one sign lol  And the ice pond in the middle of town is no longer iced. :)
I wish you all a wonderful day.  Take care

Blog Questions And Replying To Your Comments :)

Hi everyone,

I have a few questions. I may have had this problem before and asked you about it, but I don't remember what I did to fix it. lol  I am still relatively new to this blogging thing. :)

I have the Picture Window template on another blog. Is that the new or the classic?  And what do I have to do to get the minima template? And is minima new or classic?  All of my backgrounds fit minima. I could use step by step help if anyone knows what to do.  :)

I don't want the one where you have to use html for everything. I don't know how to do that.  Help, help!! lol

Also I was wondering, do you all check back to see if I have replied back to your comments on the comment page?  I see that some of you reply to people there on your blogs.  Should I do that too?  I don't want to look like I don't read or appreciate your kind words. :) I read every comment and appreciate them so much. ((hugs))

Welcome to my new followers. :)

Thanks in advance for your help...

Take care...

This Do In Remembrance Of Me

Good Sunday morning to you,

While trying to decide what to write here today, I started thinking about church. I thought of our scripture study in Sunday School and what our worship service is like.

I thought about what I enjoyed most about this time spent thinking and learning of the Lord.

What I enjoy most about our worship service is the time we take to remember what Jesus did for us.

Every Sunday we partake of the emblems of Christ's flesh and blood. In the New Testament it says:

And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.  And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Matthew 26:26-28

And :

And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.  Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

Luke 22:19-20

Thinking about the words I underlined, it makes me think of being baptized for the remission of my sins.  And that I have repented and can continue to repent of my sins and His blood makes me clean.

When I go to church to "do this in remembrance of Him" I can look at my life, in the past week to see if there is anything that I have said or done that is wrong and repent of it and then I can be made clean. Each Sunday I can be just as clean as I was when I came up out of the water at my baptism.

Do you remember that 'clean' feeling?

Also this passage speaks of the importance of taking the emblems of Christ flesh and blood worthily. In other words, after repenting and coming to Him humbly and with a contrite heart. Paul is speaking to the Corinthians:

For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:  And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.  After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.  For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.  Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.  But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.  For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

1 Corinthians 11:23-29

How important it is to take of these emblems and remember the Lord. I feel blessed to be able to do this each week.  And feel that 'clean' feeling. :)

This is the most enjoyable moment of my Sundays.

I would love to hear what you all enjoy the most about your Sundays. :)

Have a wonderful and blessed Sunday my friends.

Take care...

Good Saturday Morning,

A friend of ours treated us to a wonderful dinner at a Chinese buffet today.  They had crab legs available. They are good. Yum.

Our friend is a man who has been a friend of my husband from work in Utah  since back in 1979 I believe. Hadn't seen each other in years til they found out that each other had moved up here to the same little Wyoming town.  And he looks like Santa. lol In fact he is Santa during the Christmas season.

The weather has been nice but a little windy in the daytime. And very cold at night. We got a little dusting of snow today.

Well, I guess that is it. Short and sweet.  Have a great day today.  Besides the usually housework, do something fun, k? :)

Welcome to my new followers. :)

Take care all....

Awwww....aren't they cute?

Save Your Brain Cells, Turn Off The TV LOL

Good morning everyone,

A friend of mine came up with this post title. I had asked him for a topic.  lol

I don't really think I can talk about saving my brain cells now cause it is kinda late and they aren't working very well. Soooo I will show some interesting TV pictures instead.

What I didn't notice about this one when I got it from Google was that it has doors on it. Wow, 1952 model. Before my time, just a bit. :)

This one above reminds me of my grandparents TV. See the two big dials?  You had to get up off your duff and turn it on/off, up/down, and change the channels. All 6 of them. lol And it was a black and white.

This is a color console.

This one has a radio and you open the top and find a record player/turntable.

 Remember the small portable ones?

Now, there are flat screen TVs. Wow, from 1952 to 2012. That's 60 years of TV. But it has been around longer. Just a little longer. :)

Oh and remember this from the 'olden' days?....

My, how things have changed. :)

But what did people do before TV?

They listened to the radio. How would it be? Back in the days when it was safe. No censoring because there was no need. Programs that let you use your imagination. Nothing to see or hear that would corrupt your mind. Uh oh, I better stop there or my little soap box will come out. LOL

So ends our little trip down memory lane.

Have a great day everyone....Take care

$2,800+ ARE YOU NUTS??? LOL

Hi all,

I guess this is the second of a two part 'ARE YOU NUTS? series. :)

Yesterday something strange happened here. I was sitting in the back of the house reading or watching TV when all of a sudden I heard a big noise and felt a rumbling beneath me. This was different than the usual noise and feeling of the house rattling from the wind. This happens because at the moment we are living a a single-wide mobile home. Kind of like this one:

When the wind blows we can feel the place move and it sometimes sounds like the roof is going to blow away. We are use to those moments. But yesterday was different. There was the big noise like it was the wind but there was the rumbling. And it seemed like the rumbling started in the back where I was and moved the length of the house. Like something went speeding under house.

A little while later Hubby went to the kitchen in the front of the house and opened the window and noticed that there was something out on the driveway.  When I looked out I saw two long thin pieces of vinyl. How they were laying there was odd. It is hard to describe. Each had an end that sat close to the two front corners of the house and the other ends were further away like this > only pointed up. Not sure if that explains it. lol

Anyway I went out to see what it was.  It was the lower track for the skirting. In the picture above the skirting is the part below the lower colored strip.  There is a casing goes across that covers the top edge of the skirting and a track below that the skirting sits in. Also the middle area of the skirting was pushed out, not completely torn away.

I thought this is weird. What could have happened? It was like the rumble under the house front back to front was something that sped along and plowed into the front end and stopped. The house is about a foot and a 1/2 off the ground. Anyway, made me think of the movie Tremors. Google it if you haven't seen it. :)

Later in the evening, actually later in the wee hours of this morning I noticed that the pilot light on the furnace was out again. This made me wonder if that and the gas lines had anything to do with the rumbling.  I went to light the pilot and it didn't work. Three times I tired. :(   So we had to sleep without the heat. Thank goodness it wasn't very cold inside or out.

This morning the maintenance guy came and got it working on his first try. Hmm. After that I asked a heating guy to come and look at the furnace. He said that the  problem is the ignition thing. And because the furnace is so old it will only get worse and should be replaced. They don't make this model anymore.  I asked how much would it cost. This is where the ARE YOU NUTS? comes in.

We said $2800 + WOW!  I thought well the lady that owns the place can pay for it since it was a preexisting problem. :)

Anyway that is the excitement that we had the last 46 hours. :)

Wasn't this a long and boring post? lol  We are hoping to find a house soon and move. And it will be that last move we make. :) Maybe a house that looks a little like this one 'cept  with not as many stairs.

I love log homes. :)

Take care my friends...

P.S.  12:00 am..... quite a while after posting this..just had to light the pilot light a few mins ago. My goodness. LOL

NO CHOCOLATE?!?!? ARE YOU NUTS???

Hi there,

Do you remember this  picture from my March 11th post? There were several others too.  I was kinda having a chocolate attack.

Also remember I had to be in the hospital over night with chest pains? The doctor said he didn't think it was a heart problem,  maybe my esophagus or maybe acid reflux. Well,  a couple weeks ago the doctor prescribed  a pill for me to take and told me no alcohol, no problem there,  no something (can't remember), no problem there.  And he said no caffeine. I thought well no  problem there either cause I don't drink coffee.

Then a very weird feeling came over me. :(  Sniff, sniff.  Chocolate has caffeine in it. OH NO! I told him that I am a chocoholic. He said no chocolate. Lower lip starts quivering..Sniff, sniff again.  He said you have to do this so that we can get proper results. Its only for four weeks.  ONLY FOR FOUR WEEKS ??

I am now at the beginning of week 2.  I'm almost half way there.

You chocoholics out there...have you ever gone to the store to get a treat and found:

Chocolate here
Chocolate there
Chocolate, chocolate
Everywhere?

It is very hard to find non-chocolate treats that will satisfy the cravings of a chocoholic.

OH DEAR!  Remember this??

Biting lower lip.  I know, you are asking, why is she torturing herself, right?   I have no answer for you, I'm sorry.

I think I better go. LOL Take care my friends...

From Christmas Meadows To Manorlands

Hi everyone,

I hope all of you have had a great Monday and that your Easter weekend was wonderful. Thinking of our Saviour always makes my weekends and every day wonderful. :)

Today I wanted to show you pictures of Manorlands it is in the Christmas Meadows area of the Uintah Mountains in northern Utah.  A few years ago my husband and I were security and caretakers there. We were there for about 2 1/2 years. We thought that we would be there forever. I miss it alot.

See the deer to the left of the tree or pole above?

Above, in the pic that shows the road signs....there is a measurement   gage  on the sign pole, can anyone tell how high the snow is?
And look at that elk. We've seen herds of 60 or so at a time. It's amazing.
The last pic is of our house when we were there. They called it the 'Security Cabin' I don't see where it resembles a cabin. Just that it is in the woods and inside we had a wood burning stove. :)

We had about 300-500 property owners ( I think). And 22 miles of road. And acres and acres of land to keep an eye on. It was great.

Mel's sister and family have a place there and we have friends up there still so we can visit.  Been a long time though since we have been able to go.  It is also a great place to go if you want to see the leaves changing color in the fall. Sighhhhh....

Gotta go Take care all....
