Pancakes or Waffles

Good morning ladies,

Have you had breakfast yet?  I don't know why I am talking about this. I was just sitting here thinking that I have not posted in a few days. Thinking how since we moved and I was without internet for a month and couldn't be here, I feel that I have got 'bloggers block.'  I can't think of what to write about. I sometimes don't even have the desire to sit here long enough to write a post.  I feel that I have just lost interest sometimes. :( I don't want that. I love being here. And you guys are so fun to visit with. I would just miss you so much if I didn't come here. I need you. :)

My goodness....anyway back to me just sitting here thinking...anyway I thought I would take a survey. lol

Question 1 What do you like best, waffles or pancakes?

2 Why?

3 From box or scratch?

4 What kinds of toppings?

I like both. But I love waffles more. Why? I think it is because when my sister and I were little we used to stay over night at our grandparents house on the weekends.  Granny would always make waffles for Sunday breakfast.  I like them made from scratch better but I have had them from the box and Eggos too.  What kind of toppings? Well....I love real maple syrup best. But since it is quite expensive I settle for regular maple syrup. I also like them with peanut butter, jelly (not together) blackberries too. :)

I'm thinking maybe bananas would be good on them too.

Ok, I am making myself hungry now. lol So ladies, which do you like best?

I have to run. I hope all of you have a great day. Have fun with your Christmas decorating and shopping.

Take care

Princess Downy Update...Happy Thanksgiving

Hi there, :)

The Princess is doing much better today. She only had one 'trouble' since my last post. That was in the middle of the night.

She is feeling like her frisky little self almost. YAYYYYY :)

Thank you for being concerned about our little critter.

I hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family. May we all be thankful for all our blessings.

God Bless

A Doggie's Tail...I Mean Tale And A Giveaway

Hi everyone,

Well, we had troubles yesterday and today.  Princess Downy was sick. :( Around noon-thirty yesterday she threw up. Poor baby. Then it was down hill from there. She spent the next 24 hours or more having accidents and I spent the next 24 hours or more on my hands and knees scrubbing the carpet. Not fun for either of us. I think she hit every inch of carpet in one room. :(

She just had to 'go' so fast that she didn't have time to tell me so I could take her out. I just found little surprises every time I went to check on her.  Poor doggie. :(

I didn't get much sleep last night and started early this the morning to find a vet to see her. Didn't get done til 5pm. Not fun for either of us either. Vet said to give her an antibiotic and a little of some canned food that is made especially for GI troubles and it would get her 'stuff' back to normal by tomorrow night. That is good 'cept  I will be on my hands and knees til then too.

Since we moved here about 3 months ago she has been eating everything she sees that is on the ground. Leaves, berries, rocks, bark.  I have managed to get most of it out before she swallows. I was told that some berries have a bacteria in them. But the vet said that her problem was that there is good bacteria and bad  bacteria in the body. And somehow her bad bacteria went nuts and multiplied and she had an imbalance. That is what made her sick.

She is doing a little better now  thank goodness

Sorry this isn't the most interesting post. And that its maybe more information than you wanted to hear.

VETERANS DAY

Hi everyone,

I hope you have had a nice  Sunday. I was reading a friend's blog today. She did a  post on Veterans Day and wrote a poem too. You can find it here Nana Diana Takes A Break . Diana is a fun lady. If you have time please check out the rest of her blog. It is hilarious. :)

The poem made me think of something that I hadn't thought of before. And I am embarrassed to admit this. When we think of our Vets of the past, do we think that some of US wouldn't be here if some of THEM hadn't come home safe? This makes this a very personal thing.

I have several ancestors who fought in past wars on both sides of my family. My grandpa, my mothers father was in WWI in France. If he hadn't been protected and brought home safely there would be no Joy (his daughter & my mom) and no me or my sister.

If soldiers of the past in my dad's family too had not come home my sister and I wouldn't be here.

Thank you Heavenly Father for bringing them and others home safely. Please continue to watch over them.

Take care all....
......

Oh..sorry I was just having a little chocolate attack. Mmmmmm doesn't that look soooooooo yummmy? Wish I had some. :)

Whew! Welcome And Weather

Good morning everyone,

I hope you are all having a great day so far.

Whew! Well its finally over. :)  The election is over. You know, that just wore me out. I can't imagine how it wore out the candidates and families and their staff. Now, we must continue, whether we are happy with the outcome of the election or not, to pray for those who are leading to make the right decisions. And we must pray for our country most of all.

Welcome to my new followers. I will love visiting your blogs and getting to know you. I have recently joined some new blogs that were created by some very sweet and creative gals.

I checked the weather forecast for the Logan, Utah area for the next 10 days.  This Friday looks like the beginning of the cold weather. The nights from that day on will have temps in the 20s and teens. And a bit of snow may be coming too. Yippie!  :)

Now we get to look forward to our next holiday, Thanksgiving. I like this time of year. I love turkey dinners with all the trimmings. I LOVE pumpkin pie. :)  Gosh, I can't believe it is already November. This year went by so fast. Well, except for the summer in our old house where we were boiling to death from temps in the 80s and 90s. lol

Well, I gotta run. Have a wonderful day everyone. Take care. God Bless.

Election Day Is Almost Here

Good morning everyone,

I hope this finds you all safe, warm and well. :)

With Election Day just two days away I thought this post should be about voting.

I spent quite some time trying to decide which way to go with this post. Should I just say, " Hey remember to vote this Tuesday" or mention that I voted early, or should I ask the question, " Is voting a right, privlege, or responsibility?" Or...just say what I have been feeling about things. Or all of the above.

Well what I decided was: all of the above.

Hey, remember to vote this Tuesday.
I already voted.
And what do you think? Is voting a right, privilege, or a responsibility? And why?

Up until this past year my involvement in the political process has been zip. I am embarrassed to admit that I have never really been interesting in it. In the last election 4 years ago I didn't like either candidate and wanted to write in a person to vote for. Then I was told that that would not be a good thing to do. For what reason I don't remember. It was a good reason so I decided to vote for one of the candidates. But my thought was ' I will vote for the lesser of the two evils.' That's awful.

This year I have been very interested in what is happening. I watched the  primaries and had discussions about them with friends. I listened to a national news channel to get their opinions on them. I watched the debates and wished that one of the candidates could hear me making comments about his comments. LOL  And I was glad when the final debate was over. And wished that the whole thing was over. It wore me out. :)

I feel that it is important to vote. Even more so today because of how things are in the world. The world is in trouble. OUR COUNTRY IS IN TROUBLE. The constitution is in trouble. Our morals and values are in trouble too.

This country is where people from all over the world came to enjoy freedoms that they didn't have in their own countries. Freedom of speech; to have their own opinions. Freedom to worship God the way they wanted to. Freedom to live in a country where they and their families could feel safe in their own homes.

God raised up good christian men to build up this country. A country based on christian values. These values are getting trampled on. These values are being made fun of. And God is being mocked. This is very serious.

We can not let this happen. We need to help save this country, its people and its freedoms. We need to help save our families and the sanctity of marriage. And our right to choose. God gave us these things. We can not let some one take them away.

Please vote prayerfully on Tuesday. There is so much at stake.

Take care my friends and God Bless

HAPPY BLOGAVERSARY TO ME WOOHOO!!

Hi everyone, did I spell that right? Blogaversary or Blogoversary? lol

Wow, I can't believe that it was a year ago today that I started this blog. On Halloween night last year we didn't get any trick or treaters.  I sat here in front of my computer waiting for them and thinking I needed to do something fun. The blog went through several title changes and backgrounds that first night.

Since then the title has remained the same but the background has changed oodles of times. lol  I like finding fun backgrounds to use. There are many websites that have free ones. It is easy to find them on Google. I have also learned to do many fun things including html stuff. :)

I have had so much fun meeting new people here in blog land. All of you have been so sweet, caring and fun to visit with. It is neat to know about the lives of people all over the country and the world.

Well, I meant to get this posted before midnight but I missed. Oh well...

Sorry this is so short. Gotta run. Thanks to all my followers. Thank you for a great year. Be safe. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Take care, ((((((hugs))))))
