Hi everyone, I hope you are having a great wintertime. I love the snow and miss it to much. Having lived in Utah most of my life and a few years in Wyoming it is hard to go without it here is western WA. But I guess I will survive until we go back home. Take care my friends :)

I hope all of you are enjoying the nice Fall colors and weather. We live in an apartment complex surrounded by trees of many kinds. I love the changing colors of the leaves. We even had a little rain today and I saw a huge pretty rainbow. I love rainbows. :)
Since I have been taking care of my husband almost 24/7 I am unable to work out of the house. I have been trying to figure out a way to make a little money. Our rent has gone up ( of course). And our other expenses few that they are, still make it difficult to make ends meet. Now, I am not saying this to make you feel sorry for me. I know that many are in the same boat as we are. I would like to get some advice.
Some of you have Etsy Shops. I like this idea and was wondering if it is difficult to set one up. I loom knit and would love to sell my things online. Can any of you tell me how to do this or leave a link to your shop so I can see how one is supposed to look? And how are sales?
I loom knit scarves, hats, gloves, slippers, baby booties, baby socks and slippers and more. It is a fun relaxing thing to do. Kind of a stress reliever. :)
Anyway, I hope you all have a great rest of the week. Enjoy....

We have had quite a wind storm here because of a typhoon in the Pacific.
Here are a couple pics of a small tree that got blown down across the road that goes down to our apartment complex. I took them with my phone so they may be far away.
The police came and chopped it up and pulled it over to the side. Later the scary tree eating monster came....
Then on my way to the store I went past KFC/A&W. They lost a tree in the last wind storm or maybe the one before that. Well.....
They couldn't use the drive thru yesterday. ALL the trees are gone now. At least four or five.
We are expecting more storming this evening. I think Oregon has gotten a lot of it too.
I do love the sound of wind and the noise it makes through the trees. I just pray for no more damage and that everyone stays safe.
I hope you all have a great weekend. Take care.

I am not good at this. I feel so awfully sad right now. Close to tears. Friday evening, just 5 minutes up the road from me, in Burlington, Washington, five people were shot in the mall.
A 16 year old girl, a 64 year old woman and her 95 year old mother were all dead at the scene. A man was flown to a trauma hospital in Seattle. He later died. And then another woman, her information unknown or just not released.
Not much information has been released. Motive unknown.
The shooter, 20 year old male who is an American citizen. His family, I believe moved here from Turkey many years ago. This is all we know. Now charged with 5 counts of murder, no bail. What a waste. :(
Sorry to post something so sad.
May God bless the families and friends of these people with the strength to get through the next few days and weeks. And get through the " firsts" i.e. birthdays, anniversaries, holidays without loved ones. May they feel His peace and love.

I am feeling very overwhelmed right now. I while ago I commented on a post on Facebook from one of my cousins about 9/11.
I said that while looking for a positive "Remembrance " pic for 9/11 on Google to post on my blog ( see yesterdays post), I saw so many awful pics of the reality of that day. Photos of the planes, the damaged buildings, the explosive cloud of fire, the fear on the faces of the people who were there, the fire fighters. It made me so emotional that I couldn't write any text.
I remember where I was and what I was doing when I heard the news. My son, was getting ready for school and I had the TV on. I was sitting there watching it all in disbelief and thinking " is this REALLY HAPPENING?? My son, then 16 years old, was going to have to go to school and hear about this frightening thing all day. :(
It was difficult to leave the TV and go to work. And even more difficult to get through the day smiling and telling customers to "have a nice day." I felt like every time I said that, I was being disrespectful :( Could we ever have a nice day again? As I commented on my cousins post, the tears flowed again.
Many innocent lives were lost. May God continue to strengthen and bless their families and friends.
And may we always remember and never forget

Hi all, I found this on Facebook the other day and saved it. I kinda like it. :)
I just wanted to say, thank you all for your comments, prayers, and support. For still being here for me. Even after I was gone for a long time. We have had quite a lot going on in the past couple of years. It isn't over yet, but we have survived. And will continue to. Your comments really make my day. :)
I also want to thank God for being there. He is my Father. I am a Child of God. A Daughter of God. So are you. Isn't that a beautiful thing? I love him with my whole heart. He is always there for me too. I don't always remember that when things are crazy.
I need to be more mindful of that and count my blessings.
Please have a great rest of Labor Day Weekend and a wonderful week. Fall is coming or here is some parts of the country. I love the fall colors and the changing colors of the leaves. I think I might post about that next time IF I remember LOL
Take care my friends, Hugs

Well just a little update on the the loom knitting....
I did a few more pairs of baby socks and made my first ever ruffled diaper cover. It didn't turn out exactly as I wanted it to but that's ok, I will do better next time. Here's the pics.
I think I will do this diaper cover next time in white with two toned pink ruffles. :)
I hope all of you have had a great weekend and wish you a wonderful week. Thank you all who stop by and leave comments. They or YOU make my day.

Hello everyone, after taking a week off from my loom knitting I decided to try my hand at knitting a pair of baby socks. And if I do say so myself, (lol) I think I did a good job.....
This is the one with a ruffled cuff look. And I made one without the ruffle. Here are both of them...
At first I thought that making these would be difficult because of how the heal is made. But I watched a short video where the person that was making them explained it clearly and I followed her. And it worked out.
I think I want to make a bunch of them. In many different colors.
Anyone know anyone that would like to have a pair of hand made baby socks for their little one ? :)
Oh and the Christmas movie.... A Christmas Melody with Lacey Chabert and Mariah Carey. The little girl in it is great. And I love the song she sings at the end in the school Christmas Pageant.
Enjoy your summer and remember, Christmas is just around the corner. LOL Well, sort of.

Yes I do know this is summertime. And that it is not Winter but....
I can't help it. I am a Winter person and I HAVE to watch the Hallmark channels Christmas movies. All the snow sigh......
I just finished watching my favorite movie from last year.
I just totally LOVE this movie. The actors did a great job. Played their parts perfectly. It almost carried me into the movie. :)
It is hard to tell the story without spoiling it for you all. Try to get to watch it this week ok? It is good for me to watch it. It cools me off when it is hot out...and in lol
They are so good together.
Blessings to all.

Hello my dear friends,
Mama is happy today. :) Yesterday I went to Target to get a couple of storage containers. My husband wanted diet root beer so I went to the grocery section. I happened to pass by the cereal section and thought...yeah, we need cereal so I strolled down the isle.
I was so shocked to find my favorite cereal there. Shocked because I had not seen it in ages and assumed that it had been discontinued.
I was a VERY happy camper.
This has been my favorite cereal forever. :) I bought 3 boxes. Oh, and have you ever had ...
LOL Silly me. Funny thing to write a post about. :)
I hope all of you have a very fun and very safe Fourth of July weekend. Take care all....

Today I had to have our dear little Princess Downy put to sleep. :(
She had been getting more problems this past week. For a while now we had been giving her meds for her heart because of an infection she had. A few weeks ago she started getting so thirsty she emptied her water dish before the end of the day. And I would have to take her out more often. When she started to get forgetful and confused. Not knowing what to do or where to go.
Then yesterday and today she worsened. She was very clingy. She wanted to be near me all the time. And she couldn't be comfortable in any position when she laid down. I think she knew something was wrong. Also past few days she would cough or gag or something for a while and then be fine. But that is not a good thing. She always shivering, even when it wasn't cold. Dr said with all that and more there was nothing he could do for her.R.I.P Sweet baby.

I can't believe it is Spring already. And two Sundays til my birthday. Hint, hint. LOL Just kidding.
We are kinda hanging in there. Hubby has had three hospital stays since fall. He is in right now. He has a bleed. I will spare you the gory details. He has an erosion of the stomach lining. And has had to have a blood transfusion again this time. He is doing okay but I feel they really need to figure out why this keeps happening. What has caused it in the first place. He gets really anemic and weak when this happens. :(
This plus having to do almost everything for him now, including personal stuff is wearing me out. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
Mom and Sis are about the same. Just hanging in there too.
I pray for you all to enjoy your Springtime. God bless.
