Ruffled Feathers....

 Hi everyone. :)  I hope you are all doing well.

I REALLY need to get internet. lol This is nuts trying to get to the library by bus and walking. I have lost 10 lbs. though. Thats good. :) Or maybe that is just from stress...I don't know..but it is gone and good riddens to it. lol

Ok. now for the Ruffled Feathers part....

My husband is a veteran. We live in Logan, Utah about I guess 100 miles or so from Salt Lake City, Utah where the Veteran's Hospital is. This is where he and lots of other Vets have to go for their Dr appointments and other things like treatments, dialysis (sp) etc.

There is a van that takes people to their appointments early in the morning and comes back late in the afternoon or early evening when everyone is finished. This van, and others in other towns, are donated to the Vets. The driver's time is donated or voluntary I think. It is a very helpful thing to have available.

Well....a week ago on Friday someone vandalized the van. Not just let air out of a tire or wrote on the window or whatever...they cut the the fuel line to the gas tank and did other things so that the vehicle is out of commission for at least two weeks til they can get parts to fix it.

In the meantime there are people who don't have a way to get to the hospital...some are in very serious conditions...this is unbelievable. those who are critically ill with terminal conditions and have no other way to get there could die. :(

What were these people thinking?? My feathers are ruffled. Grrr

Mel is also having troubles. He has a couple of life threatening conditions and we are finding out that he has kidney problems now too.  We have to find another way to get there this next Friday for tests to see exactly what the problem is. :(

The people who did this have got to have something against the military. Anti Vets....that is a Hate Crime. It is too bad that they were not caught. And it scares me that they could do something worse...like the things that have happened in other cities in this country. We all know about those. :(

What is this world coming to?  I know that these bad things have to happen. The scriptures say it will. That it will be worse..before it gets better.   IT WILL GET BETTER. What a great promise that is.

 I just wish that innocent people wouldn't have to suffer.    

Ok, I am done. Um....sorry to have to come back with a negative post. It just bothered me.

Our weather is mild here now not too cold.  Some flakes here and there. Oh and mom was in the hospital. She couldn't walk the other day. She is doing a little better now. She was transferred to a nursing home yesterday. Sure could use your prayers :)

Just A Quick Note

Howdy everyone,

I sure miss all of you. I hope that you are all staying warm and safe.

I got a digital camera the other day from a friend. He didn't want it anymore and as soon as I figure out how to use it and transfer pics to my computer/flash drive  I will have some interesting  posts. :)

I am still  posting from the library where my time is limited. I hope that we can get internet again soon coz this is not fun. Our car is grounded now too so I have to walk and take the bus to get here.

Anyway we are doing ok. Thank you for your kind words and prayers, keep 'em coming, ok? :)

Please email me and let me know how you are doing. I will check for them and soon as I can. Don't have internet on my phone at the moment either. :( Bummer, when it rains it pours, right?

Yes I Am Still Alive

Hi everyone...

 

Yes we are still alive here at our house.  Many things have been going on that I can not mention right now.

 

I do miss all of you so much. I wish I can read your posts and comment. But there is just not enough time when I am limited to 60 mins on the library computer.

 

I hope that you are all doing well and enjoying life and the cool weather.

 

We have a lot of snow outside. It is left from a storm a week or two ago. And it is now snowing. I love watching snow fall. :) There is about a foot of snow on the ground in our yard.

 

Please email me and let me know how you are doing. Though I don't have internet I can still go somewhere to get my emails. My phone won't be working now this month so I will have to check email elsewhere. :( Oh well.....

 

Life is full of challenges.  And sometimes they all come at the same time.  My goodness! :)

 

Please keep us in your prayers. And my mom and sis too. They are still having such a tough time. :(  Thanks.

Hi There

Hi there,

 

I have just a few minutes here at the library. We have been getting below 0 temps here for the past few days. BRRRRR

 

I had to have a tooth pulled. Woohoo! NOT! lol Had a lot of pain from the Thursday after Chirstmas til last week. It was pulled that friday and I still had bad pain. Ouch! Never had so much trouble before. Oh well....all better now. :)

 

Um...Hubby is having trouble sleeping we are not sure why.

 

My sister call me three times in past two days. Twice she was crying and hysterical. :( She is having such a hard time dealing with her own troubles  and mother. It is so hard for her.

 

I am unable to get up there soon. Anyone what to contribute the the Get Janet and Hubby to Washington Soon Fundraiser?? lol joking.

 

We have a lot of  things to do on this end  and their end before we can go. My goodness. We do still need your prayers. We appreciate your comments, concern and care about us that we have already received.

 

I am so glad that I started blogging. It is neat to have so many new friends. And that you all care. I do really care about you gals too. And pray every night for everything to be well with all of you.

Hi am at the library and I don't have layout options again so this looks weird.  I have told a few of you this.  I would love to hear from everyone in email if you can or post comments...I can get them on my cell phone. Replying is a challenge as my internet stops in 5 minutes and I loose the text and have to start over. So when I email you back that will be why it is quick and unorganized thought wise....did i say that right?

A Quick Hello

Hi. I hope all of you are having a great start to the New Year.

We are doing fine except that we don't have the internet right now as I have mentioned. :( Gosh, what a pain that is. lol

I am not sure how soon I will be back here to the library to post.  We are expecting a snow storm tomorrow. Maybe get 7 inches or more. Woohoo!! :) It might keep me off the road a few days though.

I hope that you are all well. I'm sorry that I can't read all your posts and make comments.  You are all in my prayers each night. :)
