Good morning everyone,
Isn't this little one cute? This is a little white tailed fawn. Today, well now yesterday, we had rain, thunder and lightning. I looked out the kitchen window in time to see a few of these deer, older ones, in the field across the road. They huddled together like they weren't sure what to do, like they were scared of the thunder and lightning. Then one by one they took off towards the trees at the far side of the field. I miss seeing deer all the time, like we had in the mountains.
Another white tailed deer still not as old as the ones I saw. We used to have them in our yard all the time. And when we drove around the area they were everywhere.
We are supposed to get snow tomorrow, Friday. Not sure if it is going to happen. If we get any it may not stick.
Welcome to my new followers. I will be looking forward to getting to know you and hearing from you. Thank you all for your caring and kind comments. :)
Have a wonderful day. Take care....
THAT FIRST PIC IS ADORABLE.. WE HAVE LOTS OF DEER HERE AND ABOUT..
ReplyDeleteHAVE A BLESSED WEEKEND, MY FRIEND...
We had wind and dark clouds, but it didn't rain or thunder or lightening. I was hoping but alas it didn't happen. I really wish we'd get more rain before the real heat hits!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to look out your window and see such beautiful nature:) It's going to be cold here this weekend too. We have had so much rain over the last 24 hours. The sun is out toda though:) Have a happy weekend.
ReplyDelete-Steph-
Our neighbors have a corn feeder in their yard and we have counted as many as 15 deer at a time! They are so beautiful to watch.
ReplyDeleteWe live in a new development, and as it built up we have seen less deer. When our house was new we used to see 7-10 deer every week in the yard. Now, just a couple times a year.We used to see hoof prints right at our front window as if they were looking into the house spying on us!! :) I miss the visits. We had heavy, heavy rain yesterday and thunder too. We need the rain around here. Have a great weekend--hope you are able to attend church this Sunday!--Jan
ReplyDeleteHi sweet friend I loved your post...we dont have white tailed deer we just have mule deer, but they are also so cute...untill they eat all my flower's and shrub's.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I found your blog.
Thank you for your comment's.
Love,Debbie:)
Love the deer.
ReplyDeleteI know, they can be a challenge ....and a menace in the gardens.
Still.. they are pretty cool.
Hope you have a great day, and a great weekend.
When I cared for my baby sis, I started a very bad habit the entire neighborhood was furious with me over. It was a drought year, and the dear came into the yards for water and food, so I thought. I didn't know they were being a bit lazy and I was an easy mark.
ReplyDeleteSo I put out lots of old pots of water under the shade trees and fed them all of the old veggies in the fridge instead of throwing them away. Well, didn't know that was a no no and pretty soon everyone was chasing them out of their yards and guess where they came for refuge? Yep! They'd come over to her yard and lay down for a nap! And the way they chew looks like they're sticking out their little tongues, as if to say to the meanies, 'nanny, nanny billy goat!'
Actually, this brought her a lot of enjoyment during her last months (she passed away from pancreatic cancer).
I love the deer and the little baby is just adorable!!
Thanks for sharing, and the nice memories.
Blessings,
Donna
What a beautiful little fawn. I just love them, don't you? They are just such gentle, sweet animals...although I am sure the farmers disagree with me.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful day. It got down below freezing again here last night but NO SNOW! xo Diana
