Sunday--Love One Another

Good Sunday morning to you all,

I was thinking about what to write today. Something spiritual since it is Sunday.  And while talking to a friend this evening I thought of this: Love One Another.

I found some bible verses that speak of this....

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
John 13:34-35

This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
John 15:12

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another..
Romans 12:10

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
Romans 13:8

But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.
1Thessalonians 4:9

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works
Hebrews 10:24

Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently
1 Peter 1:22

Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren,
1 Peter 3:8

For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
1 John 3:11

And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
1 John 3:23

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God
1 John 4:7

Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
1 John 4:11

And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
2 John 1:5

Wow! There are a lot aren't there?  Even more than these. If we are told at least this many times to love one another, it must be important and something that we need to work on all the time, yes?

Ok, that is our Sunday School lesson for today. Memorize these verses. There will be a quiz on Monday. :)

I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday. Take care....

  1. I love these verses. If only we could be so loving toward each other. I try, but I can tell you I don't succeed as much I would like. I guess all we can do is keep trying.

  3. Lovely post.

We need to be reminded often to love one another, don't we ?!

We have to work each and every day to be more Christ-like and love our fellow brothers and sisters.

I know for me.. I just keep trying :)

  4. Janet- It is really easy to love one another when things are going along smoothly and the stress level is down. It is much harder to love one another when the reality of life rears its ugly head. Great post! xo Diana
